Perennial plants is a passion for Tanya as she aspires to help provide others with quality perennial vegetables, fruits, flowers and shrubs with everyone's future in mind.
Family
Tanya might take the lead on this business, however she knows that without the support of her family she wouldn't be able to make Daisy May Perennials a reality. Tanya's husband, Jason is quick to help with any of the heavy work required like spring tilling and of course any building that is needed. Tanya's parents Neil and Gale Banks of Corn Acre Farms provided her with a strong entrepreneurial foundation, an expansive range of life experience on the farm, and a love for growing things. They have also provided some of the land on Briar Hill Rd. that makes up part of Tanya and Jason's farm. Tanya's son Cody Michaud of MCX Excavation along with his kids (Tanya and Jason's grandkids) and his wife Ashley (our Daughter-in-Law) provide lots of helping hands when needed and are eager to be a part of the process as the first season launches in the spring of 2024!
Daisy May
The name Daisy May comes from the home that Tanya shares with her husband, on the shores of Lyndhurst Lake in beautiful Leeds and the Thousand Islands. Tanya was moved to name the old farmhouse when she and Jason purchased it. Daisies symbolize new beginnings, rebirth, renewal and hope as well as love, cheerfulness, warmth & joy. The name seemed to suit the old home perfectly and May became the second name because that was the month the purchase agreement was made. Now as seasons pass and we settle in, it seems fitting to introduce Daisy May Perennials as the next chapter in our story.
